Finanzauto Supports Humanitarian Aid: 7 Cat Generators to Be Sent to Ukraine for Hospital Energy Supply

Visit from the Minister of Foreign Affairs

28 August 2024

This morning, our Headquarters welcomed the visit of José Manuel Albares, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, who, together with the Ambassador of Ukraine, Serhiy Pohorelzew, announced the delivery of seven Cat generator sets to Ukraine. The equipment will be provided through the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), which has acquired the units from our client Electro Ruíz.

The generator sets will first be transported to Poland, on the border with Ukraine, before entering the country, where they will be deployed to ensure reliable energy supply in hospitals throughout the region during the winter season. Cat generator sets are autonomous units designed to deliver dependable electric power in a wide range of applications, from emergency response to continuous operations. With this initiative, Finanzauto reaffirms its commitment to social responsibility values and continues to seek meaningful ways to contribute to humanitarian support and sustainable development at the international level.

Following the official announcement, Minister Albares, Ambassador Pohorelzew, and representatives of AECID toured Finanzauto’s facilities. During the visit, Pierre-Nicola Fovini, CEO of Finanzauto, together with Jorge Beltrán, Director of Land Engines, and Carlos Morales, Director of Institutional Relations, showcased additional equipment and generator sets that could also prove valuable for future aid projects in Ukraine.

The delegation also had the opportunity to visit our Engine Rebuild Center, where Finanzauto’s capabilities as a key partner in advanced power generation solutions were highlighted. The visit underscored our technical expertise and strong commitment to delivering high-quality equipment for critical situations.
