Minister of Defense Visits Finanzauto to Finalize Shipment of Generators to Ukraine

Today, Minister of Defense Margarita Robles visited Finanzauto’s facilities in connection with the urgent shipment of generators donated by Repsol and Finanzauto.

Our CEO, Pierre-Nicola Fovini, welcomed the Minister of Defense and Antonio Brufau, President of Repsol, at our headquarters in Arganda del Rey to align efforts and coordinate this donation.

Repsol had purchased a generator to be delivered to the Ministry of Defense in response to the conflict in Ukraine. In addition to the generator donated by Repsol, Finanzauto contributed another generator along with four spare parts kits to support ongoing maintenance. As Fovini noted during the meeting:

“We live in a moment where we cannot remain indifferent.”

During the visit, the Minister supervised the preparations for shipping the generators, one rated at 660 kVA and the other at 110 kVA. The equipment is scheduled to be transported starting Thursday, December 15, to Odessa and other Ukrainian cities, addressing the urgent requests from Ukrainian authorities and alleviating electricity shortages ahead of the holiday season.

Finally, the Minister emphasized the importance of such initiatives:

“The Ministry of Defense and these leading companies aim to respond quickly and effectively to Ukraine’s most urgent needs, providing all available humanitarian aid to help the country face the winter, particularly in orphanages, schools, hospitals, and care homes.”
